Sweet, spicy and warming to the peripheral nervous system, this blend was crafted as a natural travel carminative (to reduce gas) and stomach aid (due to poor digestion or stomach bugs). We have found that one or three drops of Digestif tincture can be ingested before suspected, before a meal or during stomach upset for very quick relief.

Peppermint may be beneficial for heartburn and helps to reduce gas, providing mild sweetness and a solid foundation. Star Anise balances well with peppermint, further potentiating its carminative properties while adding digestive and warming benefits of its own. Ginger brings the heat with its warming, stomach-soothing qualities, and is well-known to potentially reduce nausea. Fennel is a great carminative to help reduce gas and bloating, and adds a cool flavor profile. Mace, the outer layer of the nutmeg seed, also provides excellent digestive support! Caraway reduces upset stomach and helps promote reduction of gas.

Uses
Try applying the oil to the stomach (starting in the belly button) using a clockwise massage method. Our Digestif oil is already diluted in Fractionated Coconut Oil, but you may choose to dilute even further with a carrier oil if you have sensitive skin. When working with the tincture formula, we like putting 1-3 drops on top of the tongue and inhaling through the mouth to let the essences find their way to where they need to go. We may do this every hour or so until symptoms have gone away or significantly decreased.

This formula is something we bring with us wherever we travel. We have explored many parts of the world, and we have been able to completely avoid - or nip in the bud - upset stomach from stomach bugs. Great to have on hand with you when you go out to eat at any restaurants or meals with friends, since your system may not be used to any seed oils or less pure ingredients being used. Travel free of stomach cramps, gas, and bloating!
